AJ has had the privilege to travel to South Korea a few times on his extended layovers to and from Canada. On his brief visits, he has been confined to exploring the city of Seoul; but has had enough time to embark on seeing some major sights that the city has to offer.

Some of the memorable shots that AJ was able to get were at Hangang Park, the National Folk Museum and the Seoul Tower. AJ's english-speaking taxi driver was his best friend while in Seoul, and was even able to provide him insight into the meaning behind the popular song "Gangnam Style".

"The city has a charm to it... crazy eerie in the late hours of night, which made for some amazing Snapchat stories..", AJ chuckled and remembered his confusion when the Police Officer he was taking selfies with, took one on his own phone as well, with utmost excitement. In hindsight, the eerieness may just have been due to the fact that there was tension at the DMZ the day AJ landed; with rumours of the North giving a 24 hour ultimatum to the South.

AJ feels like he has not spent enough time at all in this bustling country. He hopes to return to South Korea with Monica one day on an extended tour to be able to take in some more of the culture. They wish to learn more about the history of the land, and explore all the landscape and food that is on offer.
